Off to San Diego for the Holiday Bowl! New years in Vegas or LA? See you in 2005! December 28, 2004 2:23 AM Oh yea one more thing. GO BEARS! Driving down to the Holiday Bowl on the 29th. Staying until the 2nd. Anyone want to go to Vegas or LA... I dunno mexico? for New years? Let me know... December 28, 2004 2:04 AM Oh yea! One more thing before I forget. You know when you watch a scary vampire movie where a vampire lures an unwitting victim to their doom. You always think to yourself, or yell outloud, "THAT'S BULLSHIT!!! How can anyone fall for that vampire. I mean, she looks like a vampire! She looks all pasty and nasty and disgusting. YOU DESERVE TO GET YOUR BLOOD DRAINED! CUZ SHE LOOKS LIKE A VAMPIRE! AND YOU ARE ONE DUMB BASTARD!" Before we judge this victim the next time as an idiot, maybe we should consider that maybe he/she is just a normal person of normal intelligence and is just being polite. So today I'm sitting in Portland waiting for my connecting flight, when the 3 stewardesses for my flight come over and sit in the seats across from me. I'm tapping away happily at my laptop and look up at them and think to myself, "Them... is some ugly ugly bitches.." Vampire Crack Whores come to mind. They were all pale and nasty and had bad teeth. There was even an Indian one. I never even knew Indian people could look like pale sickly Vampire Crack Whores. IT WAS THE MOST AWFUL THING I'VE EVER SEEN. They were damn ugly. Two of them were deathly skinny and had terrible skin. They all had styled up hair all of which looked like it was thinning and about to fall out from long time abuse of smack. I honestly considered running for a second. Or maybe grabbing some piece of wood and jamming it into their chests. But no I sat there and boarded their flight of doom. Honestly if they were vampires what could we have done, we were in an airplane. We'd be like lambs to the slaughter. Oh yea... got to SFO it was raining like a mother. I like driving through puddles the adult version of wearing rainboots and stomping around. December 28, 2004 1:30 AM I was woken up Sunday around 9am-ish by my mom who said that it had snowed and that I was to drive safely to Church. This didn't register and so I kept sleeping through until 10am-ish. Then I got up and realized. HOLY CRAP! THERE'S SNOW! Right then and there I wanted to run outside and do a faceplant that I would regret is 10 seconds. OH MAN!!! SNOW!!!! Snow I drove me and my sis to the youth branch and saw the mormons. That was cool. Then Me, Jeff, Andrew, Christy, Scott, Michelle, Keith, and Kelly went downtown to a new pub for dinner. The pub was too crowded and the wait was 1.5 hours so we ended up at El Caporal West. It was pretty decent. So Keith was this guy I met in New York who had come to visit Jeff in Bend. Keith had also gone to OSU but hadn't met Jeff there. Anyways so Keith brought his ex-roomate from Oregon State Kelly who was a Bend native. So she sits down across from me and says, "Are you Jonathan?" I pretty much didn't know who this girl was and was pretty weirded out. Me say, "Uhhhh... yes?" Then she said she was Kelly Jones and we had the same piano teacher when we were younger, Pat Alt. She also used to live a street away and so she knew all the kids in our neighborhood. This was so freaking random since I hadn't seen her in maybe.... 10 or 11 years. Then I saw my old friend Brian Laing. We used to play tennis and ate lunch together almost everyday my sophomore and junior years. Man I'd been trying to get ahold this kid for years. Everytime I'd come home I'd call him and he wouldn't be in Bend. Then he'd call me and I wouldn't be in Bend anymore. I haven't seen this guy since I graduated, so like 5 years. But I bumped into him in front of the pub. He then came out with us later to the bars. Then we ran into Niko, and gang. Niko was the drummer in my old band back in highschool. He's a great guy and my favorite dirt pollock. He's at UofO doing Biology and philosophy or some shit like that. Him and Roger used to do the craziest shit. Like push Niko in a shopping cart with a car and then have him hit a curve and fly into bushes. Or have Niko jump off of ledges into dumpsters. These guys were Jackass years before Jackass. They also were the ones that had the white van with no windows who would drive around and open up the side door. Scream, "FBI!" and throw a tv out onto the street at people. Also saw smelly Heather hippy. She's less hippy now and going back to school in Arizona. She left Bend today. So did Jeff. So did I. I miss Bend already. I really wanted to go sledding... I love sledding. December 28, 2004 1:27 AM Home... growing up all I wanted to do was to get the hell out of that little redneck mountain town. After 1.5 years I missed it so much. I missed all my friends from home. My family, my house. It was so nice being home again. Saw the usual suspects, Andrew, Scott, and Michelle on the second day I was home. Then spent Christmas eve and Christmas with the family. Man... I love my parents so much. Apparently if I were really Chinese I would tell my parents that I loved them and they wouldn't tell me they loved me. But I do. I have great parents. My house is so comfortable although I no longer have a room. But it was still home... man I missed home. I was pretty pissed off when I got home that there wasn't any snow on the ground. I was pretty angry up until Sunday. December 28, 2004 1:22 AM Hey EVERYONE!!! I'm back from Bend and I'm really sorry I haven't updated. And actually I wasn't going to update tonight either but I'm wide awake from picking Steve up from SFO so here goes.... Let me start up where I left off. Two Sundays ago, so this was the 19th me, Kerem and Shyam went up to Heavenly to ski. It was actually pretty fun since I haven't been skiing in like 4 years. I was pretty nervous about skiing again, but it was so much fun and I haven't skied on fake snow before which was a lot like skiing on packaging peanuts. Shyam messed up his ankle pretty bad. I also had Del Taco for breakfast, something I've never done before. And I have a whole new found respect for ENERGY 92.7 FM. Yes it is the channel that plays nonstop dance music. Yes the music does suck. Yes it is hilarious waking up to Kerem pumping his arm to dance tunes to get amped up. "DUDE THIS STATION GETS ME SOOO AMPED!!!!" Shyam stated it so much better on his site: Advil took care of the inflammed, throbbing ankle quite well though. The ride back was great. We were all giddy on diet coke. Kerem kept jabbering in his Wiscaaansin accent. He's convinced that the entire state is obsessed with Brett Favre. Yah, Everyone loves Brett Favre! Lambeau Field! Go Pack! Then, there was the joy that is Party 92.7. It was like playing the lottery seeing what pop song trashy remix they'd play next! It pumps you up though. It totally does. Kerem was busting some wicked dance moves and Jon just had to join in while publicly decrying the music as shit. He's probably trying to download it right now. As the Yilmaz said, 92.7 = Van Helsing. HAHAHAHA it was all in all one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life. And it's true... I love to dance... *dance move of the minute: the furious point.. at no one* Then there was 2 uneventful days at shitpep and then off to home. |
